Results of the First Annual Travel Summary Awards!

Travel Summary Awards

Voting for the first annual Travel Summary Awards ended on February 28th, and the results are now in! For those of you unaware, I thought it would be fun to see which travel and points bloggers/websites are reader-favorites in several different categories. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners this year! As you can see, some of the results were very close decisions. That means that readers have a lot of great content to choose from, and that’s always a good thing for the points world. Full results can be seen in the original post if you’re interested.

I expect next year’s Travel Summary Awards to be even more competitive and it will likely have additional categories and other tweaks (based on feedback on the original post). I’m open to recommendations if you have any ideas!

Thanks to everyone that voted! Happy reading!

  1. Congrats to all the winners!

  2. Looks like the final tally was pretty close to how I voted. Congrats to all the winners!

  3. Also interesting to see that “Other” was a pretty big group in the Best New Blogger category ;)

  4. I use to like thepointsguy a lot but he has become too commercial, pushing credit cards with bad signup bonus when better is out there

    • Absolutely agree. That TPG and Lucky got the same % for “best overall” is a travesty. Lucky clearly loves what he does and TPG clearly loves affiliate programs. That’s fine, his marketing is great, and I’m not knocking the guy for making a buck–but let’s not pretend that both provide equal value to the community of enthusiasts…

  5. I agree with the above!
