Increased 60,000 Bonuses for Chase Ink Cards

Ink 60K

Like they did last year, Chase has increased the sign-up bonus for the Chase Ink cards from 50K to 60K points after $5K in spending. The Ink Bold card is one of the cards I carry in my wallet all the time, so I definitely think it’s a great card to have. If you were planning on getting this card, now is the time!

Ink Bold – 60,000 bonus points

Ink Plus – 60,000 bonus points

Ink Cash – 30,000 bonus points

Don’t forget the other improved bonuses I wrote about earlier today as well.

  1. Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I was waiting for it to hit 60k. Do we know when the last day to apply is? Thanks!

    • Travel Summary says:

I don’t know for sure but the last one lasted only about a week if I recall correctly.

      • Thanks! And I just wanted to tag on to what Greg said, I don’t read Dan’s site. I used to, but I feel some of his deals/methods cross the line (just my opinion) and some of his readers also cross the line so I unsubscribed. So thanks for posting this since I wouldn’t have known otherwise!

  2. How about giving credit to Dan who found it for you.

    • Travel Summary says:

Because I’m incapable of finding deals on my own right?

    • The time stamp on Dan’s deal is May 1st, 2014, 11:15 am, your comment was made at May 1, 2014 at 9:44 AM. Looks like it was posted here first, but who knows I could be wrong.

      • Travel Summary says:

I think Dan posted first. Not sure about the time stamp issue, but perhaps it has to do with the time zone?

My plan is to sign up for this card, but eventually have the Ink Cash card. Which would you recommend? To sign up for the Ink Plus then downgrade to the Ink Cash before the fee hits? Or to sign up for the Ink Bold, then cancel, then get the Ink Cash? (would I get the sign up bonus for both cards by doing the latter method?)

    • Travel Summary says:

Yes I recommend the latter because of the multiple bonuses. You’ll definitely be eligible for both.

      • David L says:

Would it matter if I initially sign up for the Bold or Plus, then cancel, then sign up for the cash? Would you have a preference?

        • Travel Summary says:

It doesn’t really make any difference in my mind. They’re essentially the same card.

  4. What if I just applied with the 50K offer a few days ago? Would Chase be able to match this new offer?

    • Travel Summary says:

They have done this historically, so I would definitely try. Don’t be discouraged if the first person says “no” either…try several times before giving up (both online and by calling).

  5. Michael Duke says:

I currently have a Ink Plus Mastercard. I wanted to apply for the Ink Plus Visa card to take advantage of the latest promo of 60,000 points. I decided to call up Chase to ask them if I apply and get approved for the Visa card will I receive the 60,000 bonus points. I talked with someone in customer service and a separate individual in applications. They both told me the same thing – no, I would not receive the bonus points as I already received bonus points with my initial Plus Mastercard and they said the same thing would apply even I were to be approved for a Bold card. Chase goes by your social security number in your applications. I decided to check the terms and conditions of the offer and it states the following:

“Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer or have received a similar bonus offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program, or for any bonus offer. This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.”

So for those who have applied for a 2nd card and received a 2nd bonus I would like to know how you got around the above? Thanks in advance for your help.
